{"id":26081,"date":"2026-05-21T12:11:51","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:11:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/insly.com\/en\/?p=26081"},"modified":"2026-05-21T12:14:26","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T09:14:26","slug":"insly-is-a-box-office-hit-at-biba-2026-conference-highlights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/insly.com\/en\/blog\/insly-is-a-box-office-hit-at-biba-2026-conference-highlights\/","title":{"rendered":"Insly is a box-office hit at BIBA 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;\" class=\"sharethis-inline-share-buttons\" ><\/div><ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insly\u2019s cinema and film-themed stand drew the crowds<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI continued to dominate, as implementation replaces experimentation<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Handling broker submissions remains a key tech challenge<\/span><\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visitors to Insly\u2019s BIBA 2026 stand would be forgiven for thinking they had walked into the wrong building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Met with popcorn stands and spotlights, it looked just like the foyer of a cinema, with visitors invited to experience famous films \u2013 but with an insurance twist &#8211; such as \u2018Submission Impossible\u2019 and \u2018Underwriter Strikes Back\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The eye-catching design hit the mark, with Insly enjoying one of its most successful BIBA years ever, attracting hundreds of brokers, MGAs, and insurers over the two days.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And even more important than quantity was the quality of the conversations our team had with underwriters, operational specialists, and everyone in between. Visitors were keen to share their current challenges and opportunities, and learn how technology can help them transact more business, boost efficiency, and improve workflows.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-26083 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1920\" srcset=\"https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-scaled.jpg 2560w, https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/insly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/IMG_0045-2048x1536.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These were our key takeaways.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>AI moves from experimentation to implementation\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The top topic of discussion once again was AI, with nearly every conversation touching on how the technology is impacting insurance businesses. There was a definite shift from last year, with businesses increasingly moving from experimentation to day-to-day implementation. And, added to the mix, is some understandable AI caution amongst brokers, which MGAs, insurers, and tech providers must be cognisant of. AI for AI\u2019s sake doesn\u2019t work \u2013 it\u2019s about leading with the value first.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Submission Impossible\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We were also reminded that our mock film poster, \u2018Submission Impossible\u2019, is a true story for many, with the majority of MGAs and insurers informing us that they are processing only 30 to 40% of broker submissions at best, due to resource constraints, legacy technology, and inefficient processes. There remains a significant opportunity to supercharge their business pipeline and accelerate growth through implementing submission handling solutions \u2013 such as Nora &#8211; to speed this process up.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Planned for summer release &#8211; partnership with Geo Underwriting<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insly also had a cameo elsewhere at the conference, featuring on Geo Underwriting\u2019s stand in a co-branded video. As it\u2019s still early days, we can\u2019t release any further details of the partnership yet.
