To celebrate International Women’s Day, we’re profiling some of the women who play a key role in building Insly, serving our clients, and making the business a success every day.
Meet Kristiina Siir, Senior Account Manager, who works in the Tallinn office, providing vital technical and strategic support to Insly clients.
What does your role at Insly involve?
I joined Insly as a Technical Account Manager, and I was promoted to Senior Account Manager at the start of this year. My role involves managing a portfolio of three major clients, serving as their main contact at Insly, and helping them use the platform to improve how they work and accelerate growth. That means handling new feature requirements, fixing any issues, and generally helping them to get the most out of the technology.
Talk us through your career before you joined Insly?
I started my career as a Customer Support Specialist at Tele2, an Estonian telecommunication company, and I quickly progressed to Team Leader, then Sales Team Lead, and finally Customer Experience Team Lead.
After around ten years at Tele2, I was ready to step into the unknown, so I moved to OYE Network, a startup ecommerce platform, as an IT project manager. I was new to project management, but I quickly learned how to manage e-commerce projects and the product development process, working alongside designers and developers to meet customer needs.
After six years at OYE Network, I moved to Insly, combining my account management, project management, and team leadership skills.
What do you find most rewarding about working in tech and insurance?
I came to Insly without any knowledge of insurance, so it’s also been interesting to learn about the whole insurance lifecycle – the fees, commission, and different parties involved in delivering the insurance that we all buy.
I also really enjoy helping clients move away from manual workflows, improve their processes, and reduce repetitive tasks to make their lives easier and help drive business growth. I particularly enjoy finding solutions to tricky problems and working with code.
What is the best thing about working at Insly?
Definitely the people around me, who are really open and approachable. Everybody is ready to support each other and give feedback, so I’m never afraid to ask stupid questions.
What makes you excited about your future at Insly?
AI is a big focus at Insly right now, and that’s really exciting. I’m enjoying using AI to make my life easier and reduce my workload while increasing the value I can offer clients. It’s also cool to follow the work of our AI team and see what helpful tools and features they come up with.
